Basic Info
Name:Lauren
Bio
I'm looking for the kind of pure affection exemplified in the song "I'd Rather Dance With You" by Kings of Convenience. And that's the truth.

I like music and coffee and being pretentious about all the movies I've seen. I like to dance and make new friends and talk to strangers (they are the ones with the best stories). I love learning because I am mass nerdy. I also like making discreet faces at people when I sense they might be staring at me...flaring nostrils while staring blankly is especially effective.

I have glasses and work at a radio station. I'm hoping that gets me indie cred points, or as they say in Salt Lake, 'scene points'. There should be someone awarding these and keeping track on a clipboard or something.

My Interests:

Staying up until all hours of the night in an insomnia that transcends all things good or bad. Then napping during the day.

I'm a black and white darkroom photographer. I am old school about my photography love because the art isn't just in the picture, it is in the developing process. I try not to let my digital camera steal my soul simply because it is so user friendly.

I'm secretly obsessed with weird stuff like the six degrees of seperation concept, love languages, solipsism and lately Nicolla Tessla's theories (or rather, hearing people discuss the theories is more interesting to me than the theories themselves). I also sometimes like to alphabetize.

Oh and I'm a pretty good seamstress! I can sew things and steam things and repair rips and tears and missing buttons. How domestically hot is that? Need your hem fixed? Your skirt taken in? I can do it! (I'll trade for sex)

Finally, I know various coffee terms because let's face it, I am THAT pretentious about caffienated beverages. Diner menus are also a specialty of mine. And making otherwise stoic cops laugh.

Ehh...and I'm a student. The beauty of a Liberal Arts education is I have plenty of time to be "not quite sure" about what I want to do. I am pretty set on an International Studies major with a European concentration and I'm minoring in English. I'm considering grad school for comparative literature, hopefully in New York City.

Also...in hopes of meeting new people with similar interests in The Salt Lake Area, I add randomly....don't be afraid say to hi back.
